Numerous tourism communities in mountainous regions are currently facing a housing shortage. One aspect of this is the lack of housing for employees of tourism businesses, most of whom are seasonal workers. The housing shortage makes it difficult to find suitable skilled workers. There is a lack of transferable solutions. This project therefore aims to compile an overview of existing solutions. In three pilot communities, these approaches will be tested directly in practice. The results will be analyzed and made available to all communities and other stakeholders.
This project was submitted and approved as part of the ARE’s 2023–2024 Sustainable Development Funding Program on the topic of “Sustainable Housing.”
