To mark the birth of Princess Amalia, Crown Princess of the Netherlands, in 2004, the municipality of Scuol and the regional tourism organization named a previously nameless mountain after the princess. The naming of Piz Amalia was a sign of the close friendship between Switzerland and the Netherlands.

gutundgut developed the concept for the "Piz Amalia Music Festival" project in the spirit of the connection between Switzerland and the Netherlands. The smallest music festival in Switzerland brings young musicians from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague together with talented Swiss musicians. Concerts took place at special locations in the mountains around Piz Amalia and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, accompanied by an active supporting program.
